Your organization is growing.
Does the structure behind it still make sense?

Finance and operations consulting for nonprofits, startups, and founder-led businesses ready to build infrastructure that actually holds.

The Problem

·Everything important lives in one person's head
·Nobody is sure who owns what
·You are still the founder doing everything
·A key person left and the chaos is real
·You got the grant — now you need the infrastructure
·Processes exist but nobody documented them
·You raised a round — now what do you build first?
·An audit or fundraise is coming and ops are not ready
·Your strategic plan never made it past the document

It is not a people problem. It is a structure problem. And it is fixable.

When strategy moves faster than structure

You have a plan. Maybe you just got funded. Maybe you are scaling. Maybe a key person left and took everything with them. Whatever the trigger, you are feeling the gap between where you are going and how your organization actually runs right now.

What We Build

Operational mapping

We map how your organization actually runs — who owns what, what processes keep it moving, and where the gaps are before they become crises.

Strategic plan execution

Your strategy gets translated into departments, roles, responsibilities, and workflows your team can actually follow — not a document nobody reads.

Finance and operations infrastructure

Diana connects financial controls to operational workflows — so your books reflect how your org runs and your org runs the way your books require.

Systems and process design

Recurring work gets documented, owned, and systematized — so it happens consistently whether or not the person who set it up is still there.

We also offer accounting and bookkeeping services for nonprofits and small businesses — monthly close, financial reporting, and cleanup work. Ask about availability during your discovery call.

The infrastructure behind the work

How We Work

Simple. Structured. No fluff.

01

Discovery and mapping

We learn how your organization actually works — not how the org chart says it works.

02

Gap identification

We surface what is missing, unclear, or too concentrated in one person.

03

Roadmap and recommendations

You get a clear picture of what to fix and in what order.

04

Implementation support

Optional — but we can stay and help you build it out.

Who We serve

Built for organizations at a turning point

Nonprofits navigating growth and accountability

Whether you just received your first grant or you are managing a multi-million dollar budget — funders, boards, and auditors all want the same thing: proof that your organization runs as well as it serves.

Startups building operations after raising

You closed the round. Now you need the operational foundation that turns a pitch deck into a functioning company — and the financial controls that keep investors confident.

Founders ready to stop being the bottleneck

Everything runs through you. That worked until it did not. Let us build the structure that lets you lead instead of execute.

About

Diana Davis — Brown Ribbon Consulting

Diana Davis, MBA

Founder · Finance and Operations Consultant

Finance and operations professional with over 15 years of experience — and an unusual combination of credentials. Diana is both a trained accountant and an operations strategist.

That means she sees what most consultants miss: the connection between how an organization runs and how that shows up in the numbers. Unclear ownership creates audit risk. Undocumented processes create compliance gaps. Systems nobody tracks create budget leakage.

She has worked with organizations from community nonprofits receiving their first grant to funded startups preparing for Series A. She serves on the boards of several New Orleans nonprofits and brings that governance perspective into every engagement.

We have worked with nonprofits managing budgets from $100K to $60M, seed-stage startups preparing for their first institutional raise, and founder-led businesses building operational infrastructure for the first time.

Helped a New Orleans nonprofit consolidate vendor contracts and identify redundant software spend — delivering a full contracts repository where none previously existed.

Mapped the operational structure of a growing nonprofit and surfaced gaps that led to a full organizational restructure and clearer role ownership across every department.

Built finance and operations infrastructure for a seed-stage startup — contractor documentation, systems registry, and financial controls — ahead of investor due diligence.

"Most organizations do not struggle because people are not working hard. They struggle because the systems behind the work were never clearly built."
